A Maine teenager who was injured by a bull that escaped from his family’s pen said he will have the last laugh when he eats the animal.

Vinnie Huntington, 17, of Durham, said he suffered two dislocated shoulders, two puncture wounds

to his back and multiple minor injuries Monday when a bull escaped from its pen on his family’s farm and attacked him, WMTW-TV, Portland, Maine, reported.

“I shouldn’t have been that close to him, you know, trying to whip him in,” Huntington said. “I should have jumped on the fence to start with, but I didn’t want him going after my mom, who was on the fence next to him.”

Huntington, who was rescued from the bull by his mother and a neighbor, said the 1,800 pound bull was shot shortly after the incident.

The teenager said he hopes to be released from the hospital Thursday so he can sit down with his family for some fresh beef.

“We were probably going to eat him eventually, but now that this has happened, he’s already been cut up,” Huntington said. “I’m going to enjoy it, too.”

Thanks UPI.

A 36-year-old Maine man facing assault charges after allegedly spraying fox urine on protesters and a police officer outside a Portland restaurant. Police said the man was arrested Sunday night after spraying a group outside The Front Room restaurant protesting what they call labor violations. Restaurant owner Harding Lee Smith was the target of a lawsuit claiming he’s been violating state and federal wage and hour rules.

Police said the suspect lives in an apartment above the restaurant, but does not work there. Smith told The Portland Daily Sun that Murphy might have been reacting to the protests that have been taking place outside his restaurant.

Fox urine is commonly used as a repellant to keep animals out of people’s gardens.

A prosecutor says a Portland man accused of sneakily snipping a fellow bus passenger’s hair as he sat behind her New Year’s Eve is a suspect in a number of similar incidents.

Jared Weston Walter pleaded not guilty Monday in Multnomah County Circuit Court to third-degree robbery, interfering with public transit, second-degree disorderly conduct and harassment.

During the hearing, Deputy District Attorney Chuck French said the 22-year-old is a suspect in other incidents in which women riders have either had their hair cut or glued on TriMet buses. TriMet spokeswoman Bekki Witt says three such cases have been reported in recent weeks.

The Oregonian reports that Walter has an outstanding warrant on an assault charge in King County, Wash., in connection with a hair-gluing incident.

A 28-year-old Portland man described as unhappy about police response time to his 911 call walked onto Interstate 5 near Woodburn in an apparent attempt to get assistance more quickly.

No one was injured Monday but Marion County sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Nicoloff said a tractor-trailer rig was forced to lock up its brakes to avoid hitting the man and several other vehicles had to take action to avoid hitting either the man or other cars.

Sheriff’s Lt. Sheila Lorance said the deputy was traveling south on I-5 and saw the whole thing. The man was arrested for investigation of disorderly conduct.

Lorance said the intoxicated man told officers a friend he was riding with had kicked him out of the vehicle. The suspect called 911 and asked police to help him, but wasn’t happy about how long it was taking for an officer to arrive.
