Actress Sharon Stone gave “Extra’s” Jerry Penacoli a behind-the-scenes look at her new music video.
Stone co-wrote the song with friend John Cody to help raise funds for Haiti relief. “It’s called ‘Don’t Stand Still,’” said Stone. “I wanted it to be a love song.”
The movie star turned music video vixen recruited famed photographer Mark Lidell to shoot the video, that will be launched on YouTube.

The actress also shared one of her beauty tips for how she keeps her skin looking so fresh and young. “I wash my skin with clear water and I don’t use any soap very much on my face and people think that’s kind of weird, but I find that really worked for me over the years.”
Clearly it’s still working!

The Maji collection, co-designed by actress Sharon Stone and Damiani, is a unisex offering of engagement rings and bands, tennis bracelets, pendants and earrings.
The masculine quality of the jewellery makes it appropriate for men, women and couples, and it masterfully sets rough diamonds in gold or silver. The Maji collection forms part of the Clean Water humanitarian project, and so part of the profits are donated to non-governmental, non-profit associations who build wells for the extraction of clean water in remote places.
Pictured is the tennis bracelet in gold with rough diamonds. The woman’s size starts from 6,80 ct and the man’s size starts from 7,70 ct.

AH! Sharon Stone Day. Sharon Stone may have offended her silver screen sister Meryl Streep after a comment which seemed good-natured enough to start, but soon developed into something a little less complimentary.
The Basic Instinct star decided to explain to Tatler in less-than-certain terms exactly why she admired her, stating that Meryl was getting a lot of work because she looks like a woman that people can easily relate to.
She explained: “I look at her and I think, ”I”m chasing my kids, I”ve moved my parents in with me, I”m coping with food spills – that looks like me in real life”.
“Meryl looks like an unmade bed, and that’’s what I look like. To me, that looks true.”
Sharon Stone went on to say that her looks are maintained not through botox and plastic surgery, but through other more natural means, such as going to the gym and keeping a good family life at home.
Meryl Streep has won dozens of awards for her roles in The Deer Hunter, Kramer vs Kramer, Adaptation and The Devil Wears Prada, while she is tipped to win another Oscar with her performance in Julie & Julia.
Thanks Silentnight.

“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” has landed a high-profile guest star to spice up its 11th season. Sharon Stone is joining the NBC drama for four episodes, playing a prosecutor who used to be a police officer, the network announced Tuesday. Stone has not yet begun shooting the episodes, which will air later this season.
“It is obviously a thrill and a delight to have a star of Sharon’s wattage and importance joining ‘SVU,’ ” executive producer Dick Wolf said in a statement.
The “Basic Instinct” star is no stranger to television: She won an Emmy for her role on “The Practice” and also appeared on “Will & Grace.”
“SVU” is known for its stunt casting, as Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello noted. Earlier this season, the program featured guest turns by Hilary Duff and Carol Burnett.
Thanks L.A. Times.

Our prayers are with you! Sharon Stone, 51, emerged glowing from a beauty salon for the glitzy film premiere of Crazy Heat.
Earlier she had appeared pale and wan in the company of her mother Dorothy.
Stone, who once said: ‘Like me or don’t like me – and if you don’t like me, then pardon me, but **** off,’ may have been showing the signs of a private family strain.
With her mother, she is helping care for her father Joe, 79, who is reported to be in his final weeks with oesophageal cancer. Dorothy and her husband recently moved in with Stone, who also has three small sons in her care.
A source said: ‘Sharon spent thousands of dollars fixing up a large bedroom in her home with a hospital bed and the special equipment her dad needs. She’s tried to make it as much like home as possible for her folks.’
For all her heartache, Stone glowed as she attended the California premiere in a simple chic outfit.
Her caretaker role with her father was also reported healing a rift with her sister Kelly. The source said: ‘Kelly saw how Sharon was taking in their parents and helping her dad weather his final days. Her heart went out to her and they made up.’

God, I love this woman! “You people need to go for American breakfast. No wonder everyone’s so thin … They need pancakes.”
—Sharon Stone, addressing a movie theater full of people in Japan about her new jewelry line. Evidently, she wasn’t pleased with the traditional smoked fish breakfast she had that morning. And didn’t get the memo that most folks don’t like to be addressed as “you people.”

We all know that Sharon Stone knows fashion, but she shocked fans by stepping out in an eye-popping lace and leather Dior Haute Couture ensemble.
The actress showed off the unique garb as she was attending Elton John’s AIDS Foundation’s “An Enduring Vision” benefit in New York City on Monday night
During the festive soiree, Sharon was honored for her work with amFAR, with former President Bill Clinton also being toasted by the benefit attendees.
Earlier that night, Stone paid a visit to the ‘Late Show With David Letterman’ while wearing a black jacket, studded and rhinestone heels and a little black dress.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation honored former President Bill Clinton, Evelyn and Leonard Lauder, Sharon Stone, and Lily Safra with Enduring Vision awards this past Monday night. The event was held in New York City at Cipriani Wall Street.
Now in its eighth year, the Enduring Vision Awards acknowledges the efforts of those who contribute to promote awareness of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Journalist Anderson Cooper hosted the event. Donna Summer was the featured performer.
As Elton John told ET, “We live in a time where we mustn’t let AIDS get forgotten about…We have to carry on the fight and get as much done as we possibly can in our small way.”

The Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) was established in the United States in 1992 by Sir Elton John. EJAF’s U.S. office is located in New York City. In 1993, Sir Elton also established the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF-UK) in the United Kingdom, headquartered in London. These two organizations function as separate entities with their own distinct grant-making portfolios, but both pursue similar missions – to support innovative HIV prevention programs, efforts to eliminate stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS, and direct care and support services for people living with HIV/AIDS. Collectively, the two organizations have raised over $150 million since inception in support of projects in 55 countries around the world, including significant funding dedicated to programs in their respective home countries.
John has composed music for Broadway’s The Lion King in 1997, Aida in 1999 with lyricist Tim Rice (for which they received the Tony Award for Best Original Score and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album), Lestat: The Musical, and the Tony award winning Billy Elliot (which is currently on Broadway at the Imperial Theatre).
Thanks Broadway World.

He seems a bit gay to me but… Sexy Sharon Stone proved she is a cougar worth her stripes on Monday night when she had dinner with not one, but two, younger men at LA’s Phillipe Chow restaurant.
An onlooker tells RadarOnline.com exclusively that the Basic Instinct star, 51, was getting very friendly with her boy toys. “They were feeding her red velvet cake and she was giggling like a school-girl — a naughty schoolgirl.
“And she was really touchy-feely with both of the guys who looked like they were barely 30. One of the guys was French so they were talking in French for a while, sort of leaving the other guy out. Then when she realized what she was doing she jumped into his lap and kissed him on the cheek.”
Sharon and her double dates spent more than two hours in the posh new spot and although the men were drinking red wine, Sharon reportedly stuck to water. “But that doesn’t mean she was acting reserved – actually if I didn’t know better I’d think she was drunk,” revealed our spywitness.

Sharon Stone accepted the outstanding achievement in acting award at the 17th annual Hamptons International Film Festival Sunday afternoon, setting the tone for an evening of climactic events.
The festival celebrated its closing night with an awards ceremony at Guild Hall in East Hampton and the U.S. premiere of Heath Ledger’s final film, “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus,” followed by an official after-party at the Lily Pond nightclub.
Stone’s appearance helped anchor a festival that drew celebrities such as Pierce Brosnan, Cheryl Hines, Alan Alda, Steve Buscemi and Emmy Rossum over the past several days.
Speaking before an audience with festival board member Judy Licht at the Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor, Stone, 51, gamely answered questions about her infamously revealing and star-making turn in Paul Verhoeven’s erotic thriller “Basic Instinct,” recalling how she wore a see-through top to an audition and nearly told her lawyer to stop the film’s release after seeing just how much of herself she exposed.
She also echoed the day’s award theme by commenting on President Barack Obama’s recent medal. “The world wants to love us and wants to think we’re great,” Stone said. “I don’t think giving Obama the Nobel Peace Prize was a gift to our president, it was a gift to us as a nation.”
Later, comedian Rachel Dratch hosted the awards ceremony, poking fun at the festival’s signature award, the Golden Starfish, by suggesting alternatives like the Wooden Squid. Nevertheless, the awards came with substantial cash and in-kind services ranging from $5,000 to $165,000 in value.
The night’s clear winner was “The Misfortunates,” Belgium’s official entry into the Oscar race for best foreign language film. The comedy-drama about a dysfunctional family won the Golden Starfish for best narrative feature, the Kodak Award for cinematography (presented by director Barry Sonnenfeld, of “Men in Black” fame) and the Zicherman Foundation Award for best screenplay. A special jury prize went to Paprika Steen for her role as an alcoholic actress in the Danish film “Applause.”
The Golden Starfish for best documentary went to “Long Distance Love,” about a Moscow-Kyrgyzstan romance, with a special jury prize for “Mugabe and the White African,” which explores Zimbabwean land reform laws. The conflict & resolution award went to “Rabbit à la Berlin,” about a rabbit community affected by the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Audience awards went to the documentary “Waking Sleeping Beauty,” about the 1980s-era slump of Disney Animation Studios; the narrative film “The Young Victoria,” starring Emily Blunt as the rising English queen; and the short film “This Is Her,” about an ominous childbirth.
Terry Gilliam’s dark fantasy, “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus,” served as the closing night film Sunday. (The festival continues through Monday with additional screenings of the winning films.) Producer Amy Gilliam, Terry’s daughter, flew in from London and spoke earlier in the day about the mid-production death of the film’s star, Heath Ledger.
“I was the person who received the phone call, and I’m the person who has to tell the director, my dad,” Gilliam said in an interview at the hotel c/o The Maidstone. Her father eventually used Colin Firth, Johnny Depp and Jude Law to supplement Ledger’s footage, having all four actors play one character.
“It’s truly a Gilliam movie,” the director’s daughter said of the film. “He pulled through and found a solution. And I think the film still stands.”

What do having sex with Sharon Stone, having sex with Carice Van Houten, and having sex for money have in common? I’ll give you a hint, and it’s not having sex: these two actresses will play the women a British gigolo is torn between in the newest indie drama, Satisfaction. The film will begin production in early 2010, and is to be directed by Anya Camilleri (Ny-Lon). Variety reports that John Evangelides (A Good Woman) and Cerise Hallam Larkin (I Could Never Be Your Woman) will produce, and Simon Burke (The Picture of Dorian Gray, Liverpool, Ny-Lon) is spearheading the script.
For an indie film, these are two hard-hitting leading ladies. Stone will play a cougar caught in a love triangle with her gigolo and his younger woman, played by Van Houten. Stone, who is 51 and single, doesn’t mind playing a cougar, but made it pretty clear at the Hamptons Film Festival that she doesn’t want to be one. (To which I say False. You’re Sharon Stone. You’re the definition of cougar.) An interesting tidbit from the New York Daily News describes Stone’s tenuous relationship with the term:
“I’ve been corresponding with Anya Camilleri [the director] and we’ve been looking at historical paintings where the concept ‘cougar’ was depicted to try and see where it came from,” Stone said to The News’ Debbie Tuma Sunday during a talk at Sag Harbor’s Bay Street Theater as part of the Hamptons Film Festival. “I think “cougar” is a way to make it appear as women are looking at their men as prey, and gaining something from it. Like when men are enhancing their own virility by going out with younger women. Why,” Stone asked a tittering audience “is there not a term for older men with younger women?”
While the mother-of-three didn’t reference Demi or Madonna, she got a big laugh when she talked about Hollywood’s most iconic cougar: “I don’t think Mrs. Robinson was a cougar – I think she was a woman having a breakdown, and it was played wonderfully.”
Satisfaction begins shooting in the first quarter of 2010, in the UK.
